In preparation for the 2011 World Police and Fire Games, sailor Bob Scott, who World Financial Group (WFG) is proudly supporting in the games, participated in the “Around Lake Lanier Alone” race on April 9. In the race, sponsored by the Barefoot Sailing Club, Bob sailed the lake on a Catalina 22 Halligan. (Bob will be racing a LASER class boat in the World Police and Fire Games.) Competitive sailing is an exciting sporting event and has long been a part of the Summer Olympic Games and celebrated in the America’s Cup. It also is a major part of the World Police & Fire Games in which Johns Creek (GA) Firefighter Robert (Bob) Scott is competing.
